Hand over the floor with proof.
What was done, the conditions it was done in, how to look after it, and what you stand behind — on one page, signed. Most callbacks are about something nobody wrote down.
Works with no FloorForge hardware. The fields marked auto later are the ones machine telemetry is designed to fill in for you — the document itself does not change.
The completed job
Fields marked auto later are the ones FloorForge is designed to fill from machine telemetry. Until hardware exists you type them, and the document is identical either way.

Care & maintenance
FIRST 48 HOURS
- Keep foot traffic off the floor entirely for the period stated by the finish manufacturer — commonly 24 to 48 hours.
- Keep pets off the floor. Claws mark an uncured finish permanently.
- Do not replace furniture, and do not slide anything across the surface.
- Keep the space ventilated but avoid blowing dust or debris onto the finish.
FIRST 2 TO 4 WEEKS
- The finish continues to harden after it is dry to the touch. Full cure is commonly 14 to 30 days.
- Do not lay area rugs or floor coverings until the finish has fully cured — trapped solvent can discolour the finish beneath.
- Do not wet-clean. Sweep or dry-dust only.
- Replace furniture gradually, lifting rather than sliding.
ONGOING CARE
- Fit felt pads to every furniture leg and replace them as they wear.
- Sweep or vacuum with a hard-floor head. Grit is what dulls a finish, not use.
- Clean with a pH-neutral hardwood cleaner and a damp — never wet — mop.
- Never use steam mops, oil soaps, wax, vinegar or ammonia-based cleaners on a site-finished floor.
- Keep indoor relative humidity roughly between 35% and 55% year round. Hardwood moves with humidity; gapping in winter and tightening in summer is normal.
- Use walk-off mats at exterior doors, avoiding rubber-backed mats which can trap moisture.
This is general guidance for site-finished hardwood. Where the finish manufacturer's written instructions differ, those instructions govern — follow them, and keep the product data sheet with this report.
